Selected images from Lucy and Liana Day - you get to see them before I post on the blog!

Hi Bill!!!
Here are a few photos from the last camera download.  Many are highlights of the Lucy/Liana day:

First, a little out of chronological order, some pictures from the Lucy/Liana day.  We went to the Gap and I found a few jeans I wanted to try on.........

Then (but actually earlier in the day) on our trip to Anthropologie, I saw the following ottoman.  Thought it might look good in your bedroom, so I took a picture to see what you think -- what do you think???

Lunch with Liana - notice my new glasses!!  And my awesome beautiful necklace!  And the great food!!!  And Liana's butt crack!!!  (well, ignore that)

Took this at the studio a few days ago -- kind of hard to figure out which is the stuffed animal!!

Here's one that we took together before you left.  It's not the best shot of either of us, but I like it very much -- it makes me smile.  You can really see how happy we are and your beautiful blue eyes are especially wonderful.  Thought you'd enjoy seeing it too.

And finally, I love this shot.  It just makes me want to kiss you.  All over.  The feeling of love that wells up in my heart is palpable.

A few more ideas

Hello there Bill!!!

Here are a few more ideas about our home:

Not entirely brand new, although upgrades are very nice

Lots of light and sunshine

Hardwood floors

High ceilings

Quirky touches

It shouldn't look like every other house on the block.

We may have to make improvements on our own

Work Shed/space/garage for your tools and "man space"

Space for animals

Cool neighbors and fun community

Great big water heater for great big baths

Room to grow tomatoes and flowers (did I already mention that?)

Curb appeal, i.e. the front isn't all garage

A beautiful oak tree on the property

Place to store our outdoor gear, bikes, camping stuff, etc.

-- In a community, meaning not a city, not out in the boondocks with no one around, but in a place that's relaxed, diverse, has a little bit of history

-- NOT a gated community

-- With a porch like the one we sat on in the New Orleans B&B - doesn't have to be the same architecture, but it should have a similar feeling - like a sanctuary.

Here are a few photos of things that might appeal to you - let me know what you think:

This is my most favorite house in Sacramento.  Have never been inside of it, but I love that it's not a box; the architecture is very interesting and I like the Spanish/Art Deco style

I like the Old-world Spanish style of this porch and the grassy slabs make a nice and interesting front

I like the architectural arches and the view....well, that's an easy one.

This is Judi in Africa's front porch with a view of the Zambezi river.  Look at the glass arches - they are gin bottles in the wall!!!

First set of ideas

Hi Billy!!!

I set up this blog as a resting place for all the ideas we come up with for our future.  This way I can post photos, record both of our ideas, and edit as we need.  You can access it from Africa and post too!

Okay, in regards to where we want to live, here is the list of what we want to date:

- a change of seasons, but no snow for sure
- good airport within hour to hour and half
- good markets
- small secluded areas where i can grab your butt when we are walking
- in a walking town - close to markets, restaurants, a movie theatre perhaps
- one story
- a glassed in sitting room overlooking a view
- garden or pool,
- outdoor kitchen,
- small shop (workshop?)
- three bedroom minimum
- kitchen open to living area
- kick ass shower and tub,
- private entry from master,
- large sitting area in master too

Adding to it:

- warm weather for outdoor living most of the year
- water view if possible
- close to recreation - fishing, hiking, stuff like that
- a place that friends will want to visit
- a great kitchen with a black gas stove, drawer freezer below (not side by side)
- softer water
- a keg refrigerator
- a separate office

and of course.....

- a tremendously successful Bikram Yoga studio within walking or biking distance from house

Here are some photos with a few features to consider:

How would you like a waterfall bathtub that we can fill to the rim and not worry about spill over?

And what if we had it in a place with a view (this is the tub of my friends Mark and Courtney - with a view of the mountains)

And finally, how about a kitchen with an awesome gas stove, a chopping sink with disposal, and notice the tap in the near counter - there's a cocktail fridge in that cupboard!!
